Blessed with new friends

It is amazing to me how much God has grown me. Catching up with a friend tonight from back home on the phone it was apparent to both of us how many people in our lives that we have outgrown. From old friends who we no longer have anything in common with, to past relationships that didn't work out and we don't miss them, to really realizing how much God has worked in our lives and how sad the world can be.

Tonight was an incredible night of prayer. To be able to share what God has done in the last week was incredible. To hear my brothers and sisters cry out to God in a humble way to a holy God. Hearing their prayers and their words and seeing the love they have and the passion they have for God and I couldn't be more thankful for the people He has put in my life.

Moving to Orlando was out of obedience and with it came a lot of heart ache and loss to move here away from everyone I knew to a place where I knew no one. The people God has put in my life just blow me away with them each day with their heart. Some I'm closer to than others but I've never been surrounded by people who are running after God.

I'm excited to where He has grown me and to where He is going to grow me to. To speak in front of a group of these people tonight and share with them the awesome things God has done in the last week is something I wouldn't typically do. But with some encouragement from a good friend God gave me boldness and I shared. I'm almost thankful for old friends and catching up. It was great to have a conversation full of laughter and catching up and advice.

I'm most thankful that some of the friends I'm making are pushing me to become a better person and are growing me. It's really nice to run with people and I pray that you seek out people who will do the same for you. That you surround yourself with people you want to be like.

As this week begins and we are on week 2 of the 30 minute prayer challenge that you renew the heart and spirit that you started with. That you continue to pray for His presence and that alone will grow you and break you and will move you.
