One Couple, One Faith

We are two individuals with different backgrounds, but God united us in marriage in August 2012 and has drawn us to be one through a challenging journey.

Paul grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire with his parents. His family raised him Roman Catholic which he remained until around 2010. While he always had a belief in God, around 2010 he was starting to take God seriously and make him a first priority.  Around that time he was invited by some friends to a non-denomination church. There he grew a lot in his knowledge of the bible but some things didn't add up. It took him a while to look into his questions.

Anita grew up mostly in south Florida but lived a little bit of all over. She went to a Southern Baptist Church in Elementary school and part of middle school, attended the Lutheran Church and a non-denominational church in middle and high school, and in college went to a community church. She found herself in grad school going again to a Southern Baptist church but felt like things were missing. There were Sundays God wasn't glorified, sermons that didn't line up with the bible and she had lots of questions. 

In February 2012 Paul and Anita met at a Jeremy Camp Concert. They quickly learned to share in one another's love for God. They engaged in April 2012 and Married in August of that same year. Their marriage started off with lots of questions: what to do about birth control, where to go to church, where to live, where Anita would work. Ultimately God led them on a path that led them both to the Catholic church. Anita was confirmed Catholic May 17th, 2015 and at that time they had their marriage blessed. 

Their hope is to share their journey as well as to share in the beautiful, good and true faith they have found, the love they have shared and how it has impacted their life. 

Currently Anita works as a Physician Assistant in Neurosurgery Paul is a 4th grade teacher at a catholic school and together they have a labradoodle together named Gracie Lou.
